MCC SLIPWAY & GRID INFORMATION
The Omana Road Slipway and Grid are for the use of Members only. THE SLIPWAY Members wishing to have their boats hauled out should obtain an application form at the clubhouse and hand it filled-in completely to the slipmaster, Mr Les Rees, Phone 410-3026, giving him as much notice as possible. The Terms and Conditions for the use of the slipway at the time of publication are: 1. Members hauling out or using the grid acknowledge that they do so entirely at their own risk and that neither the Club nor its officers or servants are to be in any way responsible for the safety of persons or property, 2. The slipmaster or his nominated assistant will supervise the hauling out operation and the use of all club equipment and members will obey their instructions at all times. 3. Cradles must be of a standard acceptable to the slipmaster. They should be of hardwood or steel and bolted together. 4. Cradles must be assembled in good time for hauling out and removed promptly from the slip after use. 5. Members must ensure that they have enough competent helpers when hauling out or launching. Those who do not may incur an additional charge. 6. Members using the slip must keep it tidy at all times, The rubbish bins provided are to be used for slip rubbish only. Members not tidying up may incur an additional charge. 7. Sandblasting is completely prohibited on the club's properly, 8. The members having spray painting done may be liable for damage to the property of others and should ensure that other boats and vehicles are covered properly and that work ceases if conditions become unsuitable. 9. Members should ensure that water is not wasted, particularly when the high-pressure hose is used. 10. Charges - Check your haul-out form for current prices. ALL CHARGES ARE PLUS GST AND MUST BE PAID BEFORE LAUNCHING
THE GRID Bookings for the use of the grid (for a maximum of 24 hours) should be made with Les Rees, telephone 410-3026. A fee of $10 shall be paid to him or left in the honesty box in the gear shed on the slipway. Members using the grid must leave it clean and tidy. MAST GANTRY The mast gantry is available to members but is kept locked in the vertical position at all other times. Members should contact the Slipmaster if requiring use of this facility. Please pay the $10 usage fee to the slipmaster or leave it in the slipway honesty box. A water blaster is also available to members using the slipway and grid.
